I found this recipe and I had to share! You know those cookies in the bakery at the grocery store that are so addicting? These are it! I've baked them and frosted them and OMG It's so good.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 c sugar
3/4 c room temp. unsalted butter or butter-flavored shortening
1 unbeaten egg
2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together the butter egg and vanilla into dry mixture; only until blended.
  • 2. Roll out on floured board into a log shape about 12 inches long by 3/4 inches thick.
  • 3. Transfer log onto greased cookie sheet.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 until log shape just begins to turn color; Do Not let it get brown!
  • 5. After setting for about 5 minutes; cut into 2 inch diagonal slices. Don't frost or decorate until completely cooled.
