Spice Cookies image

These cookies have a very subtle spice to them. Delicious! This recipe was found on a website called Heavenly Homemakers.

Categories     Cookies

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c butter, melted
1 c brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
2 1/4 c whole wheat flour (i used freshly ground)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the brown sugar & butter.
  • 2. Mix in the egg, spices, baking soda & vanilla.
  • 3. Add the flour gradually.
  • 4. Chill at least 2 hours.
  • 5. Roll into tablespoon size balls.
  • 6. Place on greased cookie sheet about 2" apart.
  • 7. Bake at 350' for 10-12 minutes.
