SOUTHWEST SEASONING FOR PORK AND CHICKEN image

Yield 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 t whole coriander seeds
2 t cumin seeds
1 t whole allspice berries
2 t oregano
1 t garlic powder
1 t red chile powder
1/2 t freshly cracked pepper
1 t kosher salt
1 T brown sugar

Steps:

  • Combine coriander, cumin, and allspice and oregano in a small dry saute skillet over medium heat, until spices are light brown and aromatic, about 10 minutes. Remove form heat. Cool. Process in a clean coffee grinder or mortar and pestle. Combine with remaining ingredients.
