SNAPPY TUNA SALAD image

Not only is this "snappy," it puts together in a "jiffy." It's good as a sandwich with cheese (I like Feta) or as salad with hard boiled eggs and/or pasta.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can(s) tuna (in water or oil -- your choice)
2 tablespoon(s) celery, finely chopped
2 tablespoon(s) onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoon(s) mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon(s) lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) lemon zest (optional)
1/4 cup(s) macaroni or shell pasta, cooked and drained (optional)
1 - hard boiled egg, chopped or sliced (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine drained tuna, celery, onion, mayonnaise and lemon pepper in small bowl. Additional (optional) lemon zest brightens it even more.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marry flavors.
  • This can be served as a sandwich, a plain tuna salad or (my favorite) add a sliced hard boiled egg and some cooked pasta and serve over a bed of lettuce.
