SHRIMP JAMBALAYA image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 T. Butter
1 T. Flour
1 lb. Shrimp, cleaned
1/2 - 1 lb. hot sausage, w/out casing
1/4 cup Onion, chopped
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 cup canned Tomatoes
Cayenne Pepper or Hot Sauce
1/2 tsp. Thyme
1 tsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup uncooked Rice
Boiling Water

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter; add flour to form roux. 2. Add shrimp, sausage, onion and garlic to brown. 3. Add tomatoes, pinch of cayenne, thyme, chili powder and salt. Add rice. 4. Add boiling water to moisten well. Cook covered 30 min. Add more hot water, as needed.
