Yield Makes 40 to 50

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 tablespoons black sesame seeds, toasted
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine sesame seeds, flour, and salt. Stir in sesame oil with a fork until fine crumbs form. Add water and stir until dough comes together. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead a few times until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Divide dough into quarters and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into shapes, prick with a fork in several places, and place on a baking sheet at least 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until just brown. Let cool and store in an airtight container until ready to use, up to 1 week.
