Sausage and Rice Casserole image

This recipe is from one of Paula Deen's cookbooks. Yum! I sprinkle a little chopped fresh parsley on top before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 box uncle ben's long grain & wild rice, 6 oz
1 lb bulk pork sausage
2 sm onions, chopped
1 can mushroom pieces, 4 oz
1 can cream of mushroom soup, 10 1/2 oz
4 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2. Cook rice according to the directions on the box.
  • 3. In a heavy skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until thoroughly done; drain.
  • 4. Combine all ingredients except butter and pour into casserole dish. Dot top with butter.
  • 5. Bake until bubbly, about 25 minutes.
