Pear Cobbler image

We eat this easy easy cobbler warm with a little vanilla ice cream melting on top of it.

1 stick butter
1 c sugar
3/4 c self rising flour
3/4 c evaporated milk
2 15oz. cans pear halves in light syrup, drained and juice saved

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. In a 9x9 baking dish melt the butter in the oven. Pull out your dish with melted butter (leave oven on).
  • 2. Stir the sugar and flour together, and slowly add the milk and mix batter well. Pour batter over butter in pan. Don't stir mixture. Open your cans of pear halves and drain juice into a bowl and put aside.
  • 3. Place drained pears on top of your batter and gently pour pear juice over cobbler. Don't stir mixture. Bake cobbler 25-30 minutes or until cobbler is golden brown and bubbling and center is set. This is so very good! Enjoy!
