Steps:
- In a bowl, combine peanut butter & powdered sugar. Place 3/4 of the mixture in pie crust.
- In a saucepan, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, milk, egg yolks, butter and vanilla. Stir on med heat until thickened; set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine egg whites, cream-of-tartar, cornstarch & remaining sugar; beat until shiny.
- Pour cooled flour mixture into pie crust. Top with egg white mixture; sprinkle with remaining peanut butter mixture. Brown in broiler & WATCH CAREFULLY.
