PASTA WITH LEMON CREAM SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

8 oz. uncooked fusilli
1 3/4 c. chopped asparagus
1 c. frozen green peas
1 T. butter
1 minced garlic clove
1 c. veggie broth
1 t. cornstarch
1/3 c. heavy cream
3 T. lemon juice
1/2 t. salt
red pepper
black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta. Add asparagus during last minute of cooking. Place peas in colander. Drain pasta over peas; set aside. 2. Melt butter in skillet Add garlic and saute one minute. Combine broth and cornstarch in a small bowl; stir until well blended. 3. Add broth mixture to pan; bring to a boil. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. 4. Stir in cream, juice, salt, red and black pepper. 5. Add pasta mixture.
