New York Cheesecake image

This recipe was passed on down to me by my mother.And now to both of my daughters.I have changed it a little,but it still has the same great taste. And everyone asks me to make Cheese cake for all occations.

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 pkg cream cheese
1 c sugar
5 large eggs
15 oz container sour cream
1/2 c sugar for sour cream mixture
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Soften cream cheese to room temp. Add sugar 1 cup. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating on med speed until, well blended and cream cheese mixture is smooth.
  • 2. Grease a springform pan,with cooking spray and a little flour. Pour batter into pan. Place in 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. When light brown remove from oven and mix the 1/2 cup of sugar with the sour cream. Place on top of cake and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven let cool.Refrigerate for about 3 hours or overnight.
  • 3. May serve with topping of choice or plain. I use different fruit toppings
