Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter & gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg & milk; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in vanilla. Drop dough, by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes (centers of cookies will be slightly soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks, and cool completely. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen.
