2 cups SIFTED ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 cup SUGAR
1 1/2 teaspoons BAKING POWDER
1 teaspoon SALT
1/2 teaspoon BAKING SODA
1/4 cup SHORTENING
1 teaspoon GRATED ORANGE PEEL
3/4 cups ORANGE JUICE
1 EGG BEATEN WELL
1 cup CRANBERRIES COARSLEY CHOPPED
1/2 cup WALNUTS CHOPPED

Steps:

  • SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS. CUT IN SHORTENING.
  • COMBINE PEEL, JUICE AND EGG.
  • ADD TO DRY INGREDIENTS MIXING JUST TO MOISTEN.
  • FOLD IN BERRIES AND NUTS.
  • TURN INTO GREASED 9 X 5 X 3 PAN
  • BAKE 350 FOR 60 MINUTES
  • COOL. WRAP. STORE OVER NIGHT
