MEAT LOAF WITH A TOMATO-SWEET PEA SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 Lb Ground Beef, Lean
1 Cups Onion, Chopped (1 Medium)
1 Egg
1 Cup Bread Crumbs, Seasoned
1/8 Teaspoon Kosher Salt, To Taste
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper, To Taste
16 Ounces Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Green Sweet Peas, ( 14 1/2 Oz Can)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. a. In a large bowl, add ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. b. Wet hands with water and mix ingredients in bowl to combine well. 2. Turn meat mixture out of bowl into a baking pan and form into a loaf. a. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. b. Pour Tomato Sauce over meat loaf and return to oven for 10 minutes. c. Pour drained peas over top of meat loaf; return to oven for 5 minutes longer or until meat is cooked through.
