Maple flavored chocolate chip-pecan cookies image

I was looking to make chocolate chip cookies, but wanted something a little different, this is what I came up with. My husband can't get enough of these!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1-1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1-1/2 cup(s) whole wheat flour
1-1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1 cup(s) melted butter
2 cup(s) light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup(s) sugar
2 large eggs
1 - eggyolk
2 teaspoon(s) maple extract
2 cup(s) chocolate chips, semisweet
3/4 cup(s) chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375. Lay parchment paper onto cookie sheets. In bowl, whisk together flours, and baking soda. In lg bowl, beat butter w/ both sugars until fluffy.
  • Add eggs and then egg yolk until creamy. Add maple extract. Beat in flour mix as much as possible, then use a lg spoon to mix the rest.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Chill dough 1 hr for easier scooping. Spoon 1 heaping tbsp mix onto baking sheets, 3" apart. Bake 13-15 mins or until light brown.
