MAGNOLIA'S BUTTERCREAM FROSTING image

Yield 24 cupcake frostings

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
4 cups confectionary sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Put the butter in a large bowl and add half of the confectioners' sugar. Then add the milk and vanilla extract. Beat with electric mixer until creamy. Slowly add the rest of the sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating after each addition. Beat until it reaches a good consistency for spreading. Add a few drops of food coloring, if desired.
