Lucca's Italian Chili image

Came up with this idea after watching a Packer's game, along with the mandatory beverages & some bad chili. You can always tweek to your liking. Hope you enjoy it!

Number Of Ingredients 15

1/2 pound(s) italian pork sausage, mix to your liking between hot & sweet
1 - onion, chopped
1 - green bell pepper, chopped
2 - celery ribs, chopped
4 clove(s) garlic, minced, or more if you wish
35 ounce(s) crushed tomatoes
1 - can white kidney beans
1 1/2 cup(s) tomato juice
8 ounce(s) mushrooms, fresh & sliced
6 ounce(s) tomato paste
1/2 pound(s) pepperoni slices, cut in half
2 teaspoon(s) italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon(s) sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper
- italian cheese for topping

Steps:

  • Remove sausage from casing, brown & drain
  • Add onion, pepper, celery to pan - cook until soft, add garlic & cook for 1 minute
  • Add sausage, vegetables & rest of ingredients (Not Cheese) into crockpot
  • Cook on low 4 - 6 hours
  • Garnish with cheese
  • Serve with garlic bread & your favorite chianti
