Kick-butt Brownies image

The reason I don't have a picture to share is because these brownies don't stay on the plate long enough to photograph!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 cup(s) butter, melted
1/2 cup(s) cocoa powder
2 cup(s) granulated sugar
4 - eggs
pinch of - salt
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla (i like mexican vanilla)
1 1/2 - 2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
1 cup(s) chopped walnuts
- (here's where you get creative. i like to add a cup of chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup of toffee chips too. )

Steps:

  • First: Prepare a 9x13 cake pan by lightly buttering the bottom. Partially melt butter in microwave, and then cream the butter, cocoa, sugar, and salt together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour (the mixture should be thick). Add chopped walnuts, and whatever else you like, and then bake at 350 degrees until done (I bake these until the edges look done, but the center is still on the soft side).
  • After the brownies come out of the oven and are still hot I dust them with powdered sugar. Put a tea towel over the hot brownies so that the steam mixes with the sugar. Let cool completely, and then cut into desired size.
