JEAN'S SAGE DRESSING image

This recipe has been a standard in our house for years. My Mother and her Mother before her has made this same recipe for years. However back years ago, a cheap loaf of bread was used. I have also made this a vegetarian stuffing. Just omit the turkey broth & drippings. Use hot water & vegetable broth instead.

1 pkg pepperidge farm or brownberry stuffing - 14 ounce
1 small onion, diced
1 Tbsp sage, dried
2 large eggs
1 dash(es) salt and pepper
turkey drippings
hot water or turkey broth

Steps:

  • 1. Mix bread cubes, diced onions, sage, salt, pepper & eggs in large bowl.
  • 2. Add turkey drippings and hot water or turkey broth to mixture in bowl. Add enough hot water until mixture is very moist.
  • 3. Spray dish with Pam cooking spray. Add stuffing and bake until done.
