Holiday Appetizer Pie image

My pastor's wife in NY served this at their annual open house and my husband loved it. I make it when we tailgate on the plains in Auburn. Must be served warm with a great cracker.

Number Of Ingredients 10

16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 jar(s) dried beef, chopped
4 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 c sour cream
4 Tbsp milk
4 Tbsp green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 c pecans, coarsely chopped
additional pecans for sprinkling on top
fresh chopped parsley for garnish if desired

Steps:

  • 1. Blend together cream cheese and milk. Mix well.
  • 2. Stir in dried beef, green pepper and onion. Mix well. Stir in sour cream and nuts.
  • 3. Spoon into a 9-inch pie plate or shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake at 350-degrees for 15 minutes.
  • 4. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with crackers.
