Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
dash pepper
16 oz. can sliced or diced beets, drained, reserving liquid
water
3 tbsp. vinegar

Steps:

  • 1. In medium pan, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Measure reserved liquid; add water to make 3/4 cup liquid. gradually stir liquid and vinegar into sugar mixture; blend til smooth. Cook til mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. add beets; cook til thoroughly heated. Serves 4
