My Aunt Marie made this for us each time we visited and now it has become a favorite for all of our family parties!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
1 lb hot sausage in bulk
1 lb velveeta cheese
cocktail bread or crackers

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef or turkey and sausage in frying pan until no longer pink. Drain off excess fat. While meat if browning, cut the Velveeta into small cubes.
  • 2. Once browned, work with meat mixture while still warm and mix in cheese. Mix well until all cheese is melted and meat mixture is completely blended with cheese.
  • 3. You can save this to serve later or prepare for serving. To serve, spread 1 tablespoon of the meat and cheese mixture onto the small cocktail bread and place onto cookie sheet. Put oven on broil. Place filled cookie sheet under broiler until heated through and crispy. Serve warm. Can save unused mixture for up to 2 days in refrigerator. Also good mixed in with cooked pasta.
