Hand Tossed Pizza Crust in the Bread Machine image

How do you like it? Thin, hand tossed or thick? This crust has lemon juice in it but not something that is overpowering. Just gives it a little something and I think it helps bring out the freshness in the sauce. Time depends on bread maker. My dough cycle is about 2 hr from start to finish (dough) rising and everything. Total time should be 2 1/2 hrs. for dough, stretching, topping and cooking.

Number Of Ingredients 8

3/4 cup(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
1 tablespoon(s) dry milk powder
2 1/4 cup(s) bread flour
1 teaspoon(s) active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough cycle; press Start.
  • Preheat oven to 400°. Remove dough from pan after rise cycle or it beeps. Do not let rise again, and stretch dough on pizza pan in the shape desired and use for your favorite pizza recipe.
  • Cook pizza for approximately 30-40 min or until brown and crust and toppings have fully cooked through.
  • Note: If crust has started to get too brown before meats are completely cooked, place tin foil over the crust part to eliminate burning.
