These aren't your basic potatoes - two special ingredients make sure of that.

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, cubed and softened
1 (8 oz) carton French onion dip
Paprika, for garnish

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook until tender, 15-20 minutes. Drain.
  • Mash potatoes until no lumps remain. Stir in butter, milk, salt, and pepper, until smooth. Add cream cheese and onion dip and mix well.
  • Transfer potatoes to a greased 2 1/2 qt baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 8 hours and up to overnight.
  • When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F. Remove potatoes from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to baking.
  • Uncover and bake until heated through, 50-60 minutes. Enjoy!
