GRANDMA'S POT ROAST image

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 brisket (5-6 pounds)
4-5 large onions, rough cut
3 cubes beef bouillon
6 Russet potatoes
1 tsp. hungarian sweet paprika

Steps:

  • In a large dutch oven, place onions, then brisket. Sprinkle paprika over all. Add water to cover. Add beef bouillon. Bring to a boil, skim and then lower heat to medium low and cook down for several hours. When onions stick to bottom and start to get dark brown (not quite burned) add more water and potatoes and cook for at least one more hour.
