Grandma's Hot Dogs image

Grandma's got her own way of preparing hot dogs, and we must say we do approve. These are served with sautéed onions and peppers on oven-warmed buns.

6 OSCAR MAYER Wieners
1/2 cup beef broth
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 serrano chile pepper, seeded, chopped
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. sugar
6 hot dog buns
3 Tbsp. KRAFT Light Mayo Reduced Fat Mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Add wieners to broth in medium skillet; bring to boil. Cook 5 min. or until wieners are heated through. Remove wieners; set aside.
  • Stir vegetables into remaining broth; cook on medium-high heat until broth evaporates. Add butter and sugar; cook 5 min. or until onions are browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, spread cut sides of buns with mayo; place, cut-sides up, on baking sheet. Bake 3 min. or until lightly browned. Fill with wieners and onion mixture.
