Dirty Rice Casserole image

I found this years ago in the Louisiana Market Bulletin, but was a stuffing, I renamed it, and added a touches of my own and everyone loves it. Or they say they do.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
1 1/2 c uncooked rice
1 can(s) cream of onion soup
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1 medium onion chopped
1 medium bell pepper chopped
1/2 c celery

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef & sausage in pan until brown.
  • 2. Combine rice, soups, onion, pepper, celery into a large bowl. Mix well and add meat mixture. I also add a jalapeno pepper and creole seasoning. After they are well mixed put into a 7 by 11 casserole. Cover tightly with foil.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 350, cook casserole for 1 1/2 hour, do not open oven and do not remove foil.
