Dill Salad Dressing image

This is a family favorite. It's best served on butterhead lettuce or mesclun. It goes well with alfalfa sprouts. Because it's on the sweet side it doesn't meld well with olives or tomatoes or savoury stuff. If you want to jazz up your salad with this, you can add nuts or raisins or apples.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup buttermilk
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 lemon juice, and rind of grated
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup of finely chopped fresh dill or 1 tablespoon dried dill

Steps:

  • Whiz all ingredients in a blender.
  • Serve over simple greens only salads.
