Crock Pot Beef Stew image

Very easy, savory stew. Throw it together in the morning, and by afternoon you have a hearty, hot meal in a bowl. Fresh potatoes and carrots can be used in place of the canned/bagged veggies I use.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 envelope McCormick beef stew seasoning mix
2 lb stew meat, cut into small pieces
2 jar(s) brown gravy, 18 oz. each
2 jar(s) Green Giant whole mushrooms, 6 oz. each
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 lb baby carrots
3-4 can(s) new potatoes, 14.5 oz each
1 large onion, cut into large chunks
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium skillet, over medium-high heat, brown stew meat. I sprinkle a little of the seasoning mix onto the meat, just enough to cover in a light layer. Save the rest of the seasoning for later. Drain.
  • 2. In a 5 or 6-quart Crock Pot, combine the remaining ingredients.
  • 3. Add stew meat and stir ingredients together.
  • 4. Cover. Cook on low setting for 6 - 7 hours, or until meat and veggies are tender. Stir occasionally.
