I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM MY MOTHER-IN-LAW AND IT IS SO MOIST AND SOFT, THE TEXTURE IS SO VELVET-LIKE AND WE ALL LOVE THIS POUND CAKE, THAT WE FUSS OVER WHO'S GETTING THE LAST PIECE : )

3 stick real butter - unsalted
8 oz cream cheese
6 large eggs
3 c sugar
3 c swan's down cake flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp lemon extract
3 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. PUT 3 STICKS OF BUTTER AND CREAM CHEESE IN A BOWL. AND MAKE SURE YOUR BUTTER AND CHEESE IS ROOM TEMPT. THEN MIX BUTTER AND CREAM CHEESE WELL FOR 2 MINUTES.
  • 2. THEN ADD 3 EGGS, ONE AT A TIME AND MIX 1 MINUTE AFTER EACH EGG. THEN ADD IN HALF THE SUGAR AND MIX WELL TO COMBINE, THEN ADD IN THE OTHER HALF OF SUGAR, MIX WELL.
  • 3. THEN ADD THE REST OF THE EGGS ONE AT A TIME AND MIX AFTER EACH EGG. THEN ADD IN THE PURE VANILLA EXTRACT AND LEMON EXTRACT AND MIX WELL.
  • 4. ADD IN HALF THE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER AND MIX WELL AND THEN MIX IN THE REST OF THE FLOUR AND MIX WELL. THEN SPOON THE BATTER INTO A GREASED AND FLOURED BUNDT PAN. AND MIX WELL. THEN SPOON THE BATTER INTO A GREASED AND FLOURED BUNDT PAN.
  • 5. THEN PLACE INTO A COLD OVEN AND TURN THE OVEN ON TO 325 AND BAKE FOR 1 1/2 HOURS. THEN REMOVE FROM OVEN AND LET COOL AND THEN REMOVE FROM PAN AND SERVE.
