Cranberry Raisin Sauce for Ham image

A family tradition! Originally appeared in Better Homes & Gardens in April of 1962. For flavor variations substitute dried cranberries or apricots in place of raisins.

1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 dash ground cloves
1 dash salt
1/2 cup orange juice
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • Mix sugar, cornstarch, cloves, and salt together in saucepan.
  • Add remaining ingredients and heat over medium heat, stirring as necessary.
  • Cook until mixture thickens and comes to boiling. Serve with ham.
