Cottage Cheese Salad image

This is a refreshing and delicious summer salad. I acquired this recipe approx. 30 yrs ago from a co-worker at a company potluck, and I am still using it.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 sml pkg lemon jello
1sml pkg lime jello
1 lrg can of evaporated milk
1 lrg can crushed pineapple
1 mediuem sz cottage cheese (sml curd)
2 Tbsp mayonnaise or miracle whip
3/4 c crushed walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Mix both pkgs of jello and dissolve with 2 cups of boiling water in a long flat dish.
  • 2. Mix in another bowl: drained pineapple, milk,cottage cheese, mayonnaise and walnuts.
  • 3. Mix above bowl ingredients into the jello mix, and place in refrigerator till jelled.
