Coffee Cake image

Don't you just love a good recipe that you can go to knowing that you have ingredients on hand. This is a quick and wonderful recipe that you can make in a pinch and will get wonderful reviews.

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c butter
1 egg beaten
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c chopped pecans
2 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. SIFT: 1 1/2 cups flour 3/4 cup sugar baking powder salt CUT IN; 1/4 cup butter ADD: 1 egg that has been beaten and mix with milk & vanilla MIX: brown sugar 2 tablespoon flour cinnamon chopped pecans 2 tablespoons butter The batter will be thick. pour and spread one-half of the batter in a greased pan and sprinkle 1/2 of the nut mixture. Spread remaining batter and sprinkle remaining nut mixture and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. *** the batter will be thick ,but don't be to concern how evenly the top layer spreads ***
