Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies image

Hi friends, I don't even remember where I got this recipe. It is that old. I will tell you that this is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. It makes a lot of cookies. I freeze half after they are baked. candy bar and oatmeal in this recipe too.You won't know there is oatmeal in it. The oatmeal is blended in to a powder in this recipe.cut the recipe in half if you wish to make less. Hope you all love it.

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 cup(s) butter
4 cup(s) all purpose flour
2 cup(s) sugar
2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
5 cup(s) oatmeal blended in blender until it is powdered
24 ounce(s) chocolate chips
2 cup(s) packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 - chocolate candy bar grated
4 - large eggs
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
3 cup(s) chopped walnuts or toasted pecans

Steps:

  • measure oatmeal and blend in blender or food processor until it becomes a fine powder
  • cream butter and sugars together
  • add eggs and vanilla
  • mix together with the flour,oatmeal,salt,baking powder,and baking soda
  • add chocolate chips and grated chocolate candy bar.Add the nuts and blend well.
  • roll dough in to balls. place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet or parchment lined sheet.
  • bake 10 minutes or until light brown at 375 degree's remove from oven cool.
