CHILI DOGS image

These are a big hit with teens and kids of all ages. My family loves these CHILI DOGS. Quick, easy and simply delicious! NOTE: Great mixture to use in: lettuce roll-ups tortilla roll-ups on buns baked in bread dough with shredded cabbage topped with an egg for breakfast with hash browns in tacos for nachoes

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 c petite cut tomatoes in juice
1 c refried beans
1 pkg sloppy joe mix, use dry
1 pkg chili mix, use dry

Steps:

  • 1. In a large saucepan with a drizzle of canola oil, brown and scramble the ground beef. Drain off any grease. Then stir in the worcestershire sauce.
  • 2. Place the tomatoes with juice in a small bowl and stir the sloppy joe mix and the chili mix into the tomatoes and juice. Mixture will be quite thick. Add the mixture to the beef and stir well to combine.
  • 3. Now add the refried beans;mix in and heat through. Remove from heat. ---- Spread a small amount in the hot dog bun, add the grilled hot dog to the bun. Add more chili sauce on top of the hot dog. Top with a sprinkle of shreaded cheese if desired...enjoy
