I regularly bake for a local soup kitchen that is sponsored by my church. I just got sick of making the same old recipes, and wanted to make some cookies. I found some chocolate chips up in my cupboard and the cocoa powder was screaming my name, so I just threw some stuff together! This is the result...thank goodness I...

Steps:
- 1. In stand mixer, using paddle attachment, or with handheld mixer: cream sugars and butter until soft and lighter in color.
- 2. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
- 3. Add baking soda, baking powder and cocoa powder and mix well.
- 4. Add flour, one cup at a time and mix well between each addition.
- 5. Add oats and both kinds of chips. (I usually hand mix this step with a spatula or wooden spoon)
- 6. Drop by rounded tablespoonful or medium sized cookie scoop on cookie sheets that have been lightly sprayed with non-stick spray.
- 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
