Cheeseburger Lasagna Stax image

This is a tad different than your traditional lasagna but tastes great. Another reason for the little stacks are that I can make two kinds of lasagna in the same pan if I want. I brown the hamburg and divide it into 3 portions and one portion I add sauce, another I add salsa and beans, the third is gravy in a separate pan. I add onions&green peppers to all the recipes separately. I have not seen a cheeseburger lasagna listed at JAP so I decided to add this recipe. Everyone gets their favorite or can enjoy different kinds.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 - green pepper cut into strips
2 - onions sliced thin
1 pound(s) hamburg
10 - lasagna noodles, cooked
2 package(s) beef gravy
2 cup(s) cheddar cheese
1/2 stick(s) butter
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder

Steps:

  • Boil the lasagna noodles and cut each noodle into three equal pieces and set aside. Lasagna noodles are 12 inches long so you can cut one 4 inch piece and use it for a pattern. I stacked up 4 pieces that way I could cut 12 squares at one time.
  • Brown hamburg, add garlic and drain the grease when the hburg is done cooking. Make the gravy mix in a sauce pan and pour over the hamburg. Set aside it will thicken as it cools.
  • In another skillet add 1/2 stick of butter and onions and peppers that are sliced and cook until softened.
  • Once they are softened set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • I used a 9x12 pan and made two rows of five pieces of lasagna that has been cut into 3 so that you will have five stacks on each side. Add some gravy then add green peppers and onions on top of each piece. Add the gravy and hamburg on top of the onions. I used cheddar cheese and guyere so I layered the cheese on top. Put a noodle on top of that and layer onions and peppers, hamburg and gravy and cheese. Add the top noodle and cover with hamburg and gravy and cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes till cheese is melted. Let set for about 15 minutes and serve spooning gravy over the stacks.
