CHAI OATMEAL image

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 tsp turmeric
pinch of saffron
drop of vanilla
2 tsp honey
3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
raisins, nuts and milk for toppings

Steps:

  • 1. Pour milk into medium-size saucepan. Whisk in salt and spices. Place pan over medium heat. Just before it comes to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes. 2. Whisk in vanilla and honey. Stir in oats. Cover and leave it over low heat for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened and cooked through. 3. Serve hot with raisins, nuts and a splash of milk.
