CARMELIZED PINEAPPLE & TOFU image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 large pieces of tofu
1 c fresh pineapple
2 T oyster sauce
1/2 c water
1 clove garlic, minced
2 t soy sauce
2 T vegetable oil
3 t sugar
1/4 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
1 stalk green onion, chopped
Handful of fresh coriander, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the pieces of tofu and pineapple into bite sized chunks. 2. Place the pineapple, sugar and oil into a hot frypan and stirfry until sugar carmelizes for about 4 min. 3. Mix the oyster sauce, water, garlic, soy sauce, salt and pepper together. 4. Add the sauce mixture, tofu and green onion into the pan with the caramalized pineapple and cook on medium heat until the water reduces (about 5 min). 5. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with rice.
