CANDIED PEPITAS image

Yield 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice
1 1/2 teaspoons wheat-free tamari or other soy sauce
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of chili powder (try chipotle)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. 2. Transfer to a lightly oiled baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, stirring a few times to ensure even cooking. 3. Remove from the oven and allow to cool, stirring a few times to prevent sticking.
