Good on desserts, such as pound cake, gingerbread or fruit; or pancakes and waffles.

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 - egg yolks
1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
3/4 cup(s) dry white wine
1 tablespoon(s) cognac

Steps:

  • Beat egg yolks and sugar together in the top of a double boiler over hot water until thick and creamy, about 7 minutes.
  • Add the wine and cook a little longer until further thickened.
  • Stir in the cognac and serve hot. (or keep warm over simmering water, stirring occasionally, until ready to serve).
