BLUE POINT GRILL CRAB CAKES image

Yield 12 Crabcakes

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lbs jumbo lump crabmeat
2 eggs
1 T mayonnaise
1 T whole grain mustard
1/2 c green onions, minced
1 t horseradish
1 1/2 t Old Bay seasoning
1 t baking powder
3 T bread crumbs, made from plain white sandwich bread

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, lightly whisk eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, green onions, and horseradish. Fold in the Old Bay, baking powder and bread crumbs. Carefully fold in crabmeat and allow to chill at least 10 minutes. Form crabcakes by packing crabmeat into a 1/4 c measuring cup, and place on cookie sheet. Chill at least 30 minutes before cooking. Can be done up to one day in advance. Broil until top is lightly browned. Very gently turn over and broil the other side until lightly browned.
