1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1-1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 beef sirloin tip steak (1-1/2 pounds)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Rub over both sides of beef. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours., Grill beef, covered, over medium heat on a greased grill rack or broil 4 in. from the heat for 8-10 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.

3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup water
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
3/4 cup honey barbecue sauce
1/3 cup canola oil
1 to 2 tablespoons habanero pepper sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 pounds beef top sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 fresh pineapple, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 large sweet red peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
Hot cooked jasmine rice

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat. Whisk in peanut butter until blended. Stir in the soy sauce, barbecue sauce, oil, pepper sauce and garlic. , Pour 3 cups of the marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 4 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade until serving., Drain and discard marinade. Sprinkle ginger over pineapple. On 16 metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread the beef, pineapple and red peppers. , Grill, covered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness. Serve with rice and reserved marinade for dipping.

1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cans (10 ounces each) diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) chili starter
Shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion and sour cream, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook steak and onion in oil over medium heat until meat is browned. Sprinkle with seasonings. , In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine tomatoes and chili starter. Stir in beef mixture. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender. Serve with cheese, onion and sour cream if desired.

This recipe has been in my family so long I don't even remember where it came from. Mexican-style food has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. This easy dish is mild, but it can be made hotter if desired.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
2 teaspoons salt, divided
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Dash pepper
2 pounds beef top round steak (1/2 inch thick)

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add tomatoes, chilies and 1 teaspoon salt. Simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened. , Meanwhile, in a shallow bowl, combine flour, pepper and remaining salt. Cut steak into serving-size pieces; dredge in flour mixture. In a skillet, brown steak on both sides in remaining oil. Transfer to an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Set aside half of the tomato mixture; pour remaining mixture over steak. , Cover and bake at 325° for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Heat reserved tomato mixture and serve with steak.

Found this recipe in a newspaper 20+ years ago. It's easy and great as a leftover. My friends tnat don't like to cook don't mind making this dish. Please let me know how you like it.

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 medium cubed steaks
1 can(s) rotel tomatoes
1/2 c flour
4 Tbsp canola oil
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Put just enough oil to cover bottom of nonstick frying pan and heat on medium high.
  • 2. Add salt and pepper to flour and coat steaks with seasoned flour. I like lots of pepper and I use a brown paper bag to shake/coat steaks with flour.
  • 3. Lightly brown steaks on both sides. Turn down to a simmer. Top each steak with Rotel tomatoes, cover and simmer until done.
  • 4. Serve over rice or noodles.
