Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine the cake mix and lemon pie filling together in a mixing bowl.
  • Spray a 9X13 baking pan with non stick spray.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick insert into the middle comes out clean.

All you need it a one-step angel food cake mix and a 15 oz. can of lemon pie filling.
powdered sugar for dusting

Steps:

  • Mix the cake mix & the pie filling together by hand until moist. Be sure not to over stir. Bake in a 9x13 cake pan at 350 degrees until golden brown on the top (about 20 minutes). Cool completely before eating. As they are cooling, you can sprinkle with powder sugar if you wish (Which I guess technically makes this a 3-ingredient recipe). They have more of an angel food cake texture than a traditional lemon bar texture.

Oh yeah you read that right only Two simple ingredients to make these melt in your mouth ( middle of the pie) lemon squares! I haven't tried these yet but wanted to share the recipe

1 box angel food cake mix( i use betty crocker)
2 can(s) lemon pie filling ( total of 42 oz) i used comstock pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Mix dry cake mix and cans of pie filling together in large bowl.I just mixed it by hand...
  • 2. Pour into greased 9 x 13″ baking pan.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until top is starting to brown. NOTE...Mine took the full 25 minutes to get done and did not brown on top at all :))
  • 4. Cool on wire rack and sprinkle with powered sugar. It has a melt in your mouth spongy texture.
