What a lovely surprise this sandwich is. Not only does it taste great, it is really quick and easy to make. Make sure to use the chutney it adds a nice depth to the overall flavor of the sandwich.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 slices bread, Italian, thick
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or miracle whip)
1 tomatoes, cut into four thin slices
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper, fresh ground black
1 tablespoon basil, thinly sliced fresh
3 slices turkey, oven roasted
2 slices cheese, provolone
1 tablespoon mango chutney
1 tablespoon butter, frying

Steps:

  • Spread the mayonnaise on the two slices of bread.
  • Add the tomato slices and sprinkle with salt and ground pepper.
  • Next add the sliced basil over the tomato.
  • Now add the turkey slices.
  • Add the mango chutney to one of the slices of cheese, then top with the other slice.
  • Lastly you will add the cheese slices over top of the turkey meat.
  • Top with your remaining slice of bread and lightly butter, both sides.
  • Place in a medium low pan and fry until golden brown.

COSTCO TURKEY AND PROVOLONE SANDWICH



Costco Turkey and Provolone Sandwich image

1/2 cup prepared pesto (I used the Kirkland Pesto)
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
5 Costco Torta rolls (or ciabatta rolls), sliced in half
1 pound sliced cooked turkey breast (I used the Columbus Herbed Roasted Turkey Breast from Costco)
10 thin slices of tomato
1/2 red onion, cut into thin slices
5 slices of provolone cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a bowl, combine the pesto and mayo until well blended.
  • Place the torta rolls halves, cut side up on a large baking sheet.
  • Spread a spoonful of the pesto mixture on the cut side of each of the torta roll halves.
  • Place two slices of the turkey on the bottom halves of the rolls.
  • On the top half of the rolls, place two tomato slices on each followed by a few red onion rings. Then top with a slice or provolone.
  • Place in the oven on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
  • Then place on broil and broil for a just a bit to get the cheese bubbly and a little brown.
  • Put each of the turkey halves with the veggie halves and enjoy.

4 slices provolone cheese (1/2 ounce each)
10 spinach leaves

4 individual ciabatta rolls, sliced in half lengthwise
Spicy aioli (see recipe below)
4 slices picante provolone
3 roasted red peppers, sliced into strips (about 1 cup)
1 pound thinly sliced smoked turkey breast
1 cup tightly packed fresh basil leaves
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Calabrian chili paste
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the ciabatta rolls on a rimmed baking sheet with the cut side facing upwards. Bake until lightly toasted, 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Arrange the bread, toasted side up, on a work surface and divide the spicy aioli on all the halves evenly. On each of the bottom halves place 1 slice of cheese, ripping in half if necessary to make the cheese fit the bread. On top of the cheese, layer the peppers, followed by the turkey. Divide the basil evenly on each of the top halves, pressing slightly to adhere to the aioli. Place the tops of the sandwiches on, then cut the sandwiches diagonally and serve.
  • Whisk together the mayonnaise, chili paste and ¼ teaspoon salt in a small bowl. Refrigerate aioli until ready to assemble the sandwiches.

12 thin slices of honey-cured deli ham, halved
12 slices Swiss cheese, halved

¼ cup dried onion flakes
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon honey mustard

Steps:

  • Place a rack into lower half of oven and preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Arrange bottom halves of Hawaiian rolls on a baking sheet. Place a half slice each of ham, Swiss cheese, smoked turkey, and provolone cheese onto each roll bottom. Place top halves onto each bottom to make sandwiches.

1 (12 ounce) loaf focaccia bread, cut in half horizontally
¼ cup reduced-fat olive oil mayonnaise
1 tablespoon spicy Dijon mustard
9 ounces sliced deli turkey meat
4 ounces sliced provolone cheese
1 medium cucumber, peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon garlic-pepper seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place focaccia, cut-sides up, on aluminum foil. Spread mayonnaise on both halves. Spread Dijon mustard on top half. Arrange turkey, provolone, and cucumber on bottom half of focaccia. Sprinkle with garlic pepper seasoning and cover with top half of focaccia.
  • Wrap bottom and sides of sandwich in the aluminum foil, keeping the top open. Put the sandwich on a cookie sheet.
