1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 small onion, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 can (6-1/8 ounces) tuna, drained
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (3 ounces) chow mein noodles, divided

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute the almonds, onion and celery in butter. Meanwhile, in a large bowl,combine the cabbage, tuna, soup and half of the chow mein noodles. Stir in almond mixture. , Spoon into an ungreased 11x7-in. baking dish. Sprinkle remaining noodles on top. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until bubbly.

12 Bibb or Boston lettuce leaves (about 1 medium)
Reduced-sodium soy sauce

1 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1/4 cup mayonnaise (add more if you like)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper (I use fresh ground)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients, cover and chill.
  • Serve over your favorite lettuce with a good bread roll or crackers.

1 Small package of potatoe chips

  • Prepare Macaroni and Cheese as directed on box. Add Tuna,peas (drained) mix all ingredients in 8X10 baking dish, layer potatoe chips on top. Baked in oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

1/4 c chopped sweet pickles
1 Tbsp minced onion
2 Tbsp lemon juice
3/4 c salad dressing
1 1/2 c shredded cabbage
1 1/4 can(s) creshed potato chips

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first 5 ingredients. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Then add cabbage and toss. Add 1 cup crushed potato chips and toss. Heap in bowl and sprinkle with remaining potato chips on top. Makes 5-6 servings.
