3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 to 2 tablespoons 2% milk
4 cups shredded cabbage
3/4 cup pineapple tidbits
Paprika, optional

Steps:

  • For dressing, mix first 4 ingredients. Place cabbage and pineapple in a large bowl. Add dressing; toss to coat., Refrigerate until serving. If desired, sprinkle with paprika.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 a head of cabbage, shredded (about 6 cups)
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 cup fresh, ripe pineapple chunks
1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped
1 15-oz. can of mandarin oranges, roughly chopped
1/2 of a red onion, chopped fine
About 2 Tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
About 1 Tablespoon finely chopped mint
1/2 - 3/4 cup Hawaiian Huli Huli sauce (recipe here)
1/4 - 1/2 cup roughly chopped roasted, salted macadamia nuts

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except the nuts and Huli Huli sauce in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle the sauce over the salad and toss to mix.
  • At serving time, top with chopped nuts. Garnish with fresh mint.

1 medium firm banana, sliced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 cups shredded cabbage
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 celery rib, chopped
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 cup (8 ounces) lemon yogurt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, toss banana slices and lemon juice. In a large serving bowl, combine the cabbage, pineapple, celery, oranges and raisins. Drain bananas; discard juice. Add bananas, yogurt, walnuts and salt to cabbage mixture; toss to coat. Serve immediately.

1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup canola oil
2 tablespoons sugar
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
12 ounces fresh pineapple, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 large, ripe mango, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 head red cabbage, finely shredded
3 green onions, green and pale green parts only, thinly sliced
1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Steps:

  • Combine the cider vinegar, canola oil, sugar and some salt and pepper in a bowl and whisk until the sugar dissolves.
  • Combine the pineapple, mango and red cabbage in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper, add the dressing and toss to coat. Add the green onions and cilantro and toss again. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

1 cup fresh pineapple chunk
green cabbage, 1/2 head, chopped or shredded
1 carrot, grated
1 green peppers or 1 red pepper, diced
1/2 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Toss together the pineapple, cabbage, carrot, green or red pepper, and onion.
  • Stire the rice vinegar into the mayonnaise and mustard.
  • Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss well.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
