Trolls Rainbow Cereal Snack Mix image

This delicious cereal and fruit snack mix is full of rainbow colors -- sure to be a hit with kids.

4 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups Cheerios™ cereal or Honey Nut Cheerios™ cereal
2 tablespoons rainbow nonpareils
1 1/2 cups Trix™ cereal
3 packages (0.8 oz each) Trolls fruit-flavored snacks (from 8-oz box)

Steps:

  • In medium microwavable bowl, microwave candy coating uncovered on High 60 to 90 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until almost melted. Stir until smooth.
  • Add Cheerios™ cereal to melted candy coating; mix well. Spread mixture onto parchment or waxed paper-lined work surface; sprinkle with nonpareils. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes or until set; break into bite-size pieces.
  • In another medium bowl, mix Trix™ cereal, fruit snacks and coated Cheerios™ cereal pieces.
  • Store in tightly sealed container up to 1 week at room temperature.

6 cups Crispix
1 can (10 ounces) mixed nuts
1 package (10 ounces) pretzel sticks
3/4 cup butter, cubed
3/4 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, nuts and pretzels. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar; cook and stir until dissolved. Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat. , Place a third on a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 325° for 8 minutes; stir and bake for 6 minutes more. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Repeat with remaining mixture.

3/4 cup melted butter or 3/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, nuts and pretzels.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
  • Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat.
  • Place 1/3 of mix on greased 15 x 10 baking pan.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes; stir and bake 6 minutes longer.

Marshmallow cream, butter and Trix cereal are all you need to create these colorful and sweet snacks that are ready in just 30 minutes.

1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
1/4 cup butter
1 box (10.7 oz) Trix™ cereal

Steps:

  • Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish or pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In Dutch oven, heat marshmallow creme and butter over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add cereal; mix well.
  • Spread mixture in baking dish. Using waxed paper or spatula sprayed with cooking spray, firmly press mixture evenly into baking dish. Cool before cutting. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 3 rows.

Try out this Trix™ rabbit approved game day recipe for your movie night. Fruity with a touch of sweet and sour, these colorfully fun Trix™ cereal bars may just be your new favorite!

1/4 cup butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 1/2 cups Trix™ cereal
1/4 cup tiny, tangy, crunchy rainbow candy
1 tablespoon colored candy sprinkles (blue, purple, orange)

Steps:

  • Line 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving enough to hang over sides of pan for easy removal; spray with cooking spray.
  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 to 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows to bowl, stirring to coat. Microwave 60 to 90 seconds or until mixture is melted and can be stirred smooth. Stir in cereal and rainbow candy.
  • With greased hands or waxed paper, firmly press mixture in pan; immediately sprinkle with candy sprinkles, pressing lightly to stick. Cool 30 minutes; remove from pan, and discard foil. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.
