4 teaspoons seasoned salt, divided (recommended: Lawry's)
4 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, divided
4 yellow onions
4 potatoes
16 large shrimp, grilled

Steps:

  • Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
  • Grill steaks to your desired doneness. Cut steak into 4 pieces after grilling. Season each with 1 teaspoon seasoned salt and pepper and skewer. Cut onion into chunks and place 2 chunks per skewer. Cut potato into chunks and place 2 chunks per skewer and add the grilled shrimp, 4 per skewer.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and salt. Pour half of the marinade into a shallow bowl; add beef and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 4-8 hours, turning occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade. , Drain and discard marinade. Alternate meat, mushrooms, green pepper, onion and tomatoes on metal or soaked wood skewers. Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side. , Baste with reserved marinade. 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup sake
⅓ cup mirin (Japanese sweet wine)
2 teaspoons finely grated ginger
2 tablespoons minced green onions

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
¾ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
⅓ cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon white miso paste, or to taste

Steps:

  • Soak bamboo skewers in water.
  • Cut chicken thighs in half lengthwise along the creases and halve the thicker portions to get 3 or 4 pieces each. Place chicken in a bowl.
