This recipe comes from a restaurant we had here in Coon Rapids, MN. And the salad this salad was there signature salad and it is AMAZING!!! So I thought I would share this recipe and believe me if you try it you will make it again and again...

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 head lettuce chopped (or a bag of pre chopped lettuce)
1 head cauliflower chopped
1 pd bacon cooked and crumbled
dressing: 1c. mayo
1/4 c sugar
3/4 c shredded parmesean cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up lettuce, Cauliflower, and crumble bacon and set aside.
  • 2. For dressing mix 1 cup mayo, 1/4 c sugar and 3/4 c parmesean cheese. I add a touch of milk also to make it easier to mix. Adjust ingredients if needed as well.
  • 3. Mix everything to together in a large bowl until dressing is combined evenly with the lettuce, cauliflower and bacon. Refrigerate for a half hour or until ready to serve. Enjoy!!

2 heads lettuce, chopped (or 2 1-lb bags pre-cut lettuce)
1 head cauliflower, cut up in tiny pieces
1 lb bacon, fried and crumbled
1 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise (no substitutions)
2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1 -1 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Combine lettuce, cauliflower and bacon.
  • Mix mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.
  • Add dressing to salad, add parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
  • I usually make up the dressing the day before and the rest of the salad and then mix together just before serving.

1 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
4 tablespoons milk
2 heads lettuce
2 cups finely chopped cauliflower
2 bottles hormel real bacon bits
1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Mix dressing ingredients together.
  • Cut lettuce into small pieces.
  • Cauliflower chops up easier if you just shred it from the whole head rather than breaking the flowers off separately.
  • Get ingredients all ready first, then toss just before serving.

The salad that initiated a year-long quest to duplicate the recipe! When I threw yet another attempt at the dressing in the fridge overnight, I hit on the secret ingredient. A huge hit with guests!

1 cup mayonnaise
¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 (10 ounce) package spring lettuce mix
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup grated carrot
½ cup small cauliflower florets
½ cup bacon bits

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and sugar until well blended. Cover, and refrigerate overnight. Stir again just before using.
  • In a large serving bowl, combine the lettuce, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, carrot, cauliflower, and bacon bits. Toss with chilled dressing just before serving.
